SHORTCUTZ is an urban and international short films movement and part of LABZ platform, that started in Lisbon, Portugal, 2010.

With implementation planned in several cities around the world, SHORTCUTZ aims to promote and support young talents of the new world cinema, promote direct interaction between artists and the public and implement a constant and stimulating presence of cinema and art in the habits and cultural DNA of our cities.

SHORTCUTZ consists of regular sessions of short films screenings, with free entry, that take place at informal venues located in the most exciting urban circuits and with the presence of the authors to present their work and answer questions from the audience.

The relaxed and close proximity environment boosts networking and discussion among professionals, amateurs, students, film lovers and the general public.

Following the main guidelines of the SHORTCUTZ concept, each city has an independent team that is responsible for the programming, production and communication of the sessions and the continuity and sustainability of the project in their city.

More than just a simple short films screening, each SHORTCUTZ session is an urban celebration of creativity and artistic sharing.
